FAST, QUICK, SHORTCUT, EASY

I basically run the opposite of these words anytime I hear them now. Before I go forward - yes there are ways to be a bit more efficient and effective that can definitely accelerate our progress in whatever area we are trying to grow and make progress in. However, we highly underestimate how much actual TIME it will take to reach our goal. The paradox here is when we do take the slow, long term approach things can happen at a much greater pace then if we took a bunch of shortcut because we are not constantly questioning, doubting, switching our path and just trusting the process by putting the DAILY CONSISTENT EFFORT while slowly adapting over time. A way that has helped me switch my mentality to thinking in this manner of taking the long term approach is understanding if we end up reaching our goal really FAST, we don't learn as much along the way, we don't gain enough experience along the way, we don't understand what if things don't work out how do we face these situations. Which are all lessons we get to learn from taking the long term approach.

Let's use a fitness analogy - how many of you guys have done a drastic diet/workout plan and dropped a bunch of weight then end up REBOUNDING even harder once you finish that diet/workout plan. This is a clear example of wanting things quick but then when going back to the regular habits we just get back to where we were or even worse at times. Instead if we took the time to be uncomfortable for a little while learning all the details such as calories, sleep, water, enough training volume etc. now we have LONG TERM TOOLS in the bag that we can refer to anytime we need to make a physical change or any one body close to us wants to make that change.

The main consideration here is that this doesn't mean we just wait for things to happen, it's up to us DAILY To make THINGS HAPPEN by doing that daily consistent work. This doesn't even have to be some Hardcore shit. If our goal is to travel more, it means saving up a little bit daily to travel every 2-3 months, if we want to make more cash money, spend 1-2 hours daily to see how we can do this. You get the point - we have to still put in DAILY CONSISTENT EFFORT with no compromises.

Basically, don't chase the quick, easy, shortcuts. Take the long way, take that long walk, we’ll learn more, experience more, gain more knowledge and end up achieving something much more sustainable. Do the daily work, say hi to your mom and trust things will happen.

As they say easy come, easy go.

Stay Jacked and smiling
